Name:: Joseph Carlos Scheridan Birthday:: August 5th, 1993 Gender:: Male Average weight:: 130lb Height:: 5'6"
Nationality:: American Eye color:: Blue-Gray Hair Color:: Blonde Description:: Joey has never had the lean build of a runner, but years of waking up every other morning to do a lap around the local park before school have kept him wiry enough to be moderately athletic. He's never been to a gym and missed the whole bodybuilding obsession, which shows. He's always in jeans when he's not in breeches, and most of his t-shirts have offending slogans on them. Joey's blond hair is cut short enough to be manageable, but he rarely runs a comb through it, so it's usually messy. His eyes are very expressive, giving away any secrets he might try to keep, and he's almost always smiling.
Personality:: Fun-loving, outgoing, and a bit too mischievous for his school teachers' liking, Joey has always been optimistic and idealistic, happy to live in the moment and more likely to forget the past than mope about it. He was diagnosed with mild A.D.D. when he was 4, but his parents have told him, firmly, that he's outgrown it and can't use it as an excuse for his erratic grades and his trouble making. He loves video games, ultimate frisbee, paintball games, and his twin brother Joshua, as well as almost any other outdoor sport.
He dabbled in horseback riding for a relatively long while, but as usual didn't have the devotion or passion to continue it, and stopped after he learned how to jump, though he still does love trail riding and spending time with horses. He answers to his nickname and never 'Joseph'. Having lived all his life in a comfortable, quiet suburb, Joey's a bit naive, but enthusiastic about what he chooses to do with his life, often throwing his whole heart into projects he doesn't have the focus to finish. One thing's for sure, though - he never forgets his friends, and loves them more than he'd admit.
History:: Joey grew up trying almost every sport his dad took him to play and tormenting almost every teacher unlucky enough to have him in his or her class. From middle school his grades were unpredictable, soaring to straight A's one week and diving to F's the next, as he would often vow to do better and then quickly lose interest. He was involved with a lot of clubs in high school, and was never good enough to get into any varsity sports, but everyone knew him as the guy who was always up for an xbox marathon or a game of frisbee at the park. He had a lot of friends, not limiting himself to one or two best ones, and got along well with girls, though he never met one smart enough to hold his attention.
Joey's troublemaking got worse in his first year of high school as he responded badly to the heavier workload, stricter teachers, and clique-ish upperclassmen. It started out small, with intricately designed and tongue-in-cheek offensive messages drawn in colored chalk on blackboards; it progressed to filling the dean's office with eggs so that no square inch of the carpeted floor was left uncovered. Joey finally crossed the line when he and a couple of 11th-grade friends decided to reenact a memorable scene from the movie Grease, and mooned the official school video camera that had come to take shots of that year's junior prom. Joey finished his freshman year of high school on probation, with a strict warning that any more of his pranks would result on a day's suspension.
His parents had always been upright, respectable people, and his mother, though she loved him, was growing frantic in her attempts to get him to settle down and take life seriously for a change. Over the summer she enrolled him in more horseback riding classes, which seemed to be the only sport he was willing to take for more than a couple of months. At the local stables the instructors recognized Joey's natural talent and feel for horses, and recommended a school to his parents where kids learned to communicate with the animals in an entirely different way. Though Joey was far from passionate about being an equestrian or devoting his life to caring for horses, his parents sent him to Catalpa Academy as their last resort, a final plea and attempt to make him finally focus on something in his life and grow up for a change.
