Name:: Jade Elizabeth Morrison Birthday:: October 18 Gender:: Female Average weight:: approx. 120 pounds. Height:: 5'6''
Nationality:: Canadian, with Ukrainian background. Eye color:: A teal color, with flecks of green. Hair Color:: Light brown Description:: Jade is a very slim figure, but not in a way that makes her look underweight. Her light brown hair is long, flowing down over her shoulders and onto her back. You'll normally find it in a ponytail or sloppy bun, preferring it out of her face, but she sometimes leaves it down. Her eyes are a teal color, a mixture of green and blue, with green flecks. The eyelashes that frame it are long, eliminating the need to wear mascara on special occasions. Her nose is not too noticeable, with no ridges or bumps in it. She's quite a stunner, but is more interested in schooling than romance.
Personality:: First off, Jade's sick and tired of Canadian jokes. She's very proud of her heritage, and dislikes people who make fun of her, saying for example how much maple syrup she puts on pancakes or that she lives in an igloo. She's fine with people who are naturally curious about her and her home country, but not those who use it as a way to laugh at her. That just won't do.
Otherwise, Jade has only a few other dislikes. Although she loves exotic pets, she's terrified of spiders. Maybe it was waking up one day at her cottage and a huge spider was hanging a few millimetres from her face. Her grandmother didn't even know that she could scream that loud, the quiet girl that she was. Maybe it was the first flash of her mother's attitude and spunk.
Still, Jade's a pretty calm girl. Not really what you would call a wallflower, but she could definitely be one if she wanted to. She's pretty good with fitting into the crowd, staying away from the action. She's got the spunk in her that could vault her all the way to popularity, but Jade is quite content in the social status that she's in now. Her grandmother did always say that she needed to be content with what she had and was capable of doing.
Though not normally angered, Jade does have those times where she isn't really in the best of moods. She woke up on the wrong side of the bed, you could say. When those rare times happen, she's a little bit snappy. Actually, a huge bit snappy. That's just the way that she cools off.
Jade loves music, and is actually a very talented singer. Her mother put her on piano long ago, and she stuck with it on her mother's wishes. She wasn't very good at it, but over time she grew an appreciation towards the musical arts. Her pitch and sense of melody was great, better than her playing skills. She eventually dropped piano and took up singing, finding it more enjoyable than sitting down at a bench and playing scales. But, Jade is pretty modest about her talents; it's rare to catch her singing, even if she's just humming to herself. She doesn't want to be laughed at, another of her fears.
History:: Jade never knew her father. Her grandmother, who was on her mother's side, told her that he had died in a plane crash. He had been the pilot on the plane. Jade doesn't know if that's true, but she does know that whoever was her father is long gone now.
Her mother, Michelle, was left to watch over her. To get enough money to live comfortably, she worked most of the time. So, when Jade was very little, she was always sent to her grandmother's cottage to be babysat.
She grew a strong connection with her grandmother and the farm animals. There was Shep the collie, who followed her around wherever she went, Lucy the goose, swimming in the pond and generously accepting bread donations and Bella the brown cow, who made the richest and most delicious milk that side of the prairies, were her closest friends. There was no need for other children with these three around, even though there was no children in the countryside. Later on, a fifth member joined them; a corn snake named Maple.
There was one horse on that farm, a pure black mare with white socks. Her grandmother had named her Contrast, because of the difference in her hair color. Every morning Jade would bring out a carrot for Contrast and giggle when she slurped it out of her hand. She was a calm horse; completely fine with a little child twirling her mane hair around her fingers. When Jade was good, Grandmama (as Jade called her) would be allowed to ride on her, seeing the world from a higher view. Because of this, life was good for Jade.
Then, when she was about 15, her mother died in a car crash driving home from her office in the middle of the night. Although Jade felt some emotion towards the death, she never really knew her mother very well. Her grandmother received full custody of her, and life continued. She went to school in the modest public school in town (about 1 hour away), but didn't find it much of a challenge.
Grandmama searched for a school that would fit her grand-daughter's level and interests. Searching and searching, they soon found a pamphlet about Catalpa Academy, where students were trained to 'speak' to horses. Jade was curious, but told her grandmother that she was quite fine here in the country. But after some forms and a train ticket, Jade soon found her way to the school, along with Maple, simply because a cow could not fit in a dorm room. Still, she was happy that there was at least some familiarity about the new life that awaited her.
Catalpa Starting Grade:: Junior. Roommate Preference:: None really, just a person who doesn't mind snakes. Personal Pets:: A Creamsicle Corn Snake, which she named Maple. |Image|
Horse Companion:: N/A.
Other Characters:: None. OOC Name:: Spot Character Bio Image::

Hey welcome!!! Right now the only issue is your sig...right now you shouldn't have chosen a horse from our stables (there will be more soon hopefully) and the sigs are supposed to be just your horse, horses name, etc. (just look at some other members for ideas) I love the quote from Hotel California! =D I can't wait to see how Jade turns out...
