Name:: Callum Jackson Birthday:: 28th February 1992 Gender:: Male Average weight:: 131 Height:: 5’11
Nationality:: American Eye color:: Blue Hair Color:: Blonde Description:: Callum is around the average height really. He is not overly muscular or even skinny really, somewhere in between the two. His blonde hair is kept at around mid-length, fringe ending close to his eye and being quite messy really, he rarely tries to do much to it because of that fact. He has light blue eyes that he has inherited from his mother.
Personality:: At one point, Callum was quite a lively boy eager to help others and quite good when it came to making friends. This personality seemed to fade though after the death of his mother. He began to keep to himself more and became quite distant. Some of his friends began to leave him alone, only the older more loyal ones remaining, but Callum made no effort to ‘win’ them back or make any new ones. He had always been quite a clever boy, doing well in school and that remained intact, if anything his grades actually began to improve. His father wasn’t pleased with this progress though, mostly as with these changes, the biggest one of all was his love of horses. He stayed away from them all and refused to ride or even approach a horse, some put it down to a fear of horses yet those like his father could still see the sparkle of joy that arose in his eyes as he watched horses, and longing look as they went past them. It seemed to be a way of grieving for the young boy, but his father was determined to put an end to it.
History:: Callum has been around horses for as long as he can remember. His mother was a trainer for horses, usually race or various types of shows. She was quite successful and it meant that the stable at the back of their house usually had two or three occupants alongside her own horse. Quite often, when his father was busy with his office work, Callum would venture down to the stables to look at the horses and help his mum, the best that a small child could. He longed to ride them one day, though the horses were far too big for him to even think about trying. He eventually begun lessons, outside of his own home grounds though for there was not enough space in the stable for Callum to have his own horse. What shocked the young boy the most though, was that his father decided to join him for the lessons as well, though evidently he wasn’t as quick as his son to pick things up. As Callum grew, he was allowed to help out more and more with the horses and one day his mother had brought her horse out of the stables along with one of the horses she was training at the time. Callum was allowed to ride her lovely mare. She was a pretty little horse, a white mane standing out against her brown coat. She was a very gentle horse and Callum became more and more attached to her as he went out on these rides with his mother. One evening, when Callum was only thirteen, his mother left him to do his homework as she went out for a ride on one of the horses. He was a particularly wild stallion, and terrified of the rain. Apparently his previous owner had left him out in a storm one night, the horse had been lucky to survive but it had clearly disturbed the poor thing. Unfortunately though, it did start to rain that night and his mother still wasn’t back by the time he had to go to bed. Callum was awoken that night as his father brought him some terrible news. The horse had gotten terrified as the rain increased and had tossed his mother, she’d landed fairly safely but the horse bolted in fear, not before trampling her. The result was breaking several of her bones, including her neck. A group of joggers had found her and called the ambulance but she was pronounced dead on arrival. His father sent back the horses she had been training but could not bring himself to sell her horse and kept it in hopes that Callum would look after her. Instead, Callum developed a sort of fear of horses. He stayed away from the stables and didn’t even go near his mother’s horse. They kept her though, his father’s riding lessons paying off as he began to take care of her. However, a year later the horse passed away as well, leaving simply the father and son. It hurt him to see the state Callum was in. Still the boy remained away from all horses, yet if they happened to spot one on the road, he’d see the almost longing look in his son’s eyes, the same with watching any on TV. After hearing about the Catalpa Academy, his father sent Callum there in hopes that he wasn’t making a mistake and his son would rediscover his love for horses.
