Stables :: My Loyal Companion :: Ridge

Well, the first part of the day was pretty uneventful, and so I will not bother informing you of the dull details.
Instead though I'll tell you about the Whisper Stables.
At first they seem fairly normal, after all it is simply a few horses in their stables. Wrong.
The horses are waiting for the right student it seems and when that student arrives, the horse will 'whisper' to it, in other words talk in their minds.
It's odd, and for some daft reason I was chosen by a horse named Ridge. He's been moved out of the Whisper Stable now, and placed in Nightingale instead.
Ridge seems to be a little uneasy and stubborn, just plain awkward. I'm sorry Ridge, but it certainly seems to be true. He refuses to leave the new stable now. I'm sure we just need time to get used to each other, I hope that's the case.

I have made a new friend, I believe.
Originally I'd been sat outside alone, after I failed at giving myself a tour of the Academy.
I was cold though, and it seemed to be obvious to a girl around my age; Rachel Corrigan.
We spoke for a little bit, introduced ourselves and she then decided that going inside for coffee was a good idea. I couldn't disagree with that, it was warm for starters.
She treated me to a drink, and I've decided to return the gesture, the next time I see her.[/blockquote]

Java Latte :: Welcoming Warmth :: Steve West

It seems that a good way for me to meet new people involves one of the following; getting lost, feeling cold or embarrassing myself. In the case of today all of them.
I managed to walk into a door and kindly had someone come to my aid. He offered me a seat as well, fortunately because the place was packed.
After speaking for a while, I found out that he attended the Academy as well, his horse was Loco; name and nature.

Training Course :: Here We Go :: Rachel Corrigan

I finally managed to get Ridge out of his stable. It turns out he has been ridden before and so we got straight onto riding. Things were going very well until he suddenly sped up, and began to rear. I fell from the saddle and Ridge continued to run for a short distance.
It was at that point that help was on the way, fortunately from Rachel actually. She then started to help me with Ridge, quickly seeing that he isn't all that trusting of people.
Her horse Rosco spoke to him for a bit, and I've now learnt that Ridge is wary of people because one of his owners, I suppose you have to call him that, abused him.
