It was a Saturday and Lily was bored. She would have gone outside to train with Saffron, but it was raining outside. She was sure that at the moment, Saffron was standing in her stable, bleating and complaining to the other horses. She grinned at the thought, watching water droplets make splashes as they hit the sidewalk outside through a large window.
She remembered back at home. Jupiter, her old horse, seemed so far away. He seemed very distant now. Jupiter didn't have a connection with her as much as she had a connection with Saffron. If she could pick from Jupiter and Saffron, she surely would have picked Saffron. Sure, Saffron was snappy and sarcastic and complained and was very, very sulky sometimes [Lily couldn't think of a single good trait about Saffron] but Jupiter didn't actually communicate with her. If Jupiter could talk to me, he would have been very self-centered, she thought with a smile, remembering the gray horse's indignant rearing in the air every time she tried to really clean him up and tame him. And Starr. She missed Starr, her beautiful Siamese cat. But, the minute Starr saw the horses, she would have gotten a heart attack. Starr was old and jumpy, and probably wouldn't have liked it here.
She sighed of boredom, staring down at the huge lumps of snow outside. They were just starting to melt.
When she heard footsteps in the hallway, she immediately thought, And end to my boredom! Quick as a flash, she turned to see who it was.

As much as she liked the rain, it just wasn't the day for being outside. Between school work and helping out with Rosco, The Turd, she barely had enough energy to do anything. Sheesh, everyone disappear? The academy itself felt like a deserted town. Rachel's roommate, Max, was on vacation along with everyone else. Lucky buggers...I would love to be on vacation. But nooo...I gotta stay and work. Rachel skulked to the student lounge, hoping that she wouldn't be the only on there like she'd been for quite some time.
As I reached the very large doors, Rachel gave a sigh of mixed hope and exhaustion. Opening the monstrous things, she found that she finally wasn't alone. There was a small, blonde girl sitting and staring out of the window. Carefully, Rachel strode the the well-sized fridge to get something edible. Pulling out a jar of Nutella and some bread, she chose to strike a conversation.
Quite the weather out there ain't it? I can't remember it ever goin on like this back home or anywhere else for that matter. Oh jeeze! What kind of stupid thing is that to say!? Whelp, too late to cover it up. Rachel quickly finished making her sandwich and slumped down into one of the velvety, over-stuffed chairs and began eating.
ooc: I forgot if we were supposed to be in third or first person...lol

I turned to see another girl I didn't know. She seemed nice enough, just a lot older than me. She seemed...Maxine's age. Senior.
I watched her getting some bread and Nutella out of the fridge. I would have gotten something to eat, too, except I wasn't that hungry. I had never seen a storm this huge.
Quite the weather out there ain't it? I can't remember it ever goin on like this back home or anywhere else for that matter.
I grinned. Yeah, this is a really big storm. I replied, still sitting at the window. Um, hi, I'm Lily. What's your name? I asked.
[ I'm rping in first person. 'Cuz I feel like it. lol. I've forgotten how to RP humans. ]

My skin jumped at the reply. I really didn't expect an answer! I munched my sandwich and tried to swallow quickly so that I could reply. I almost choked on the chocolatey spread as I spoke.
Ggndgfdgdfnlbkfb. I finally got the food down. Sorry. I'm Rachel. Nice to meet ya. I gave a small laugh and gazed around the lounge, looking for any signs of other life. I'd thought that I'd heard something and then I realized that it was a cat. Darn people...can't even think to take their cats with them I released a small sound of disgust and tried to coax the small tabby to me. It looked at me intently and decided I was okay. She jumped in my lap and purred as I scratched her ears.
Remembering that I always had carrots in a bag in my pocket, I carefully pulled one out to see if she would eat it. With a ravenous hunger, she ate the little carrot and her eyes switched back to me, pleading for more. Now I don't want you gettin sick on these. So only one at a time. Her gorgeous green eyes seemed to understand every word I spoke. Handing her another carrot, I continued to stroke her. Just having a cat the I didn't even know, come up to me and appear to trust me, relaxed me entirely and I watched the storm roll.
ooc: I'd forgotten since it's been so long lol =P
