We appreciate those who have stuck by our many sites and have tried to help out. But, due to inactivity, we will be closing UC down at some point over the summer.
We are now working on the plans for a new site and we hope that all of you will join us in our new adventure...
Please let Stacey know if you would like to follow us for she will post up the new website when it has been decided.

Happy New Year ya'll!!! Ok, so we're still taking nominations, so if you haven't done that, please do,,,Character of the Month and Member of the Month...
Are you looking for a roommate for your character? Check in the IC board under roommates and see who else s looking...don't worry about grades...if you're in high school, stick with high school and your own gender please. College stick with college.
Still confused on the process of getting started? Look in the Accepted Students to see what they did for their bios, or look in Moonlight or Nightingale stables for the horses. If all else fails, ask an admin or fellow student =D

Alright, well the site is pretty much done and we will start advertising and what-not to gain some new members and putting this show on the road. I can't wait to see how this turns out =3 Hope this site explodes with new members in the New Year. 2009 here we come.

Our first Member of the Month is Stacey. Thanks to her help with things while Kel was gone and trying to keep the new members on the right track, this site blossomed. Woohoo!

Code of Conduct Hello, and Welcome to beautiful Catalpa Academy, Grantbury. Before joining it would be best if you took a look at the website rules, Academy rules, and extra information that is to your benefit if you are to become a member of this site. Please be sure to read the rules provided so you be ahead of the game.
Enrollment (2 sub-boards) If you've read the rules and like what you see, come here to create your character and enroll them in Catalpa Academy. Within the board is an embedded character application, or school resume =3, that you have to fill out. Have fun and be creative.
Archives (2 sub-boards) The finished stories and events of Grantbury are stored here for further remembrance of the past tales that members have been through. OOC and IC threads will be stored here so take a look at old stories between characters, but remember, just because you know something that happened between other characters doesn't mean your character does =D
IC [In Character] (4 sub-boards) This in-character board is where you post different opinions and what-not while "in-character." Here you can post ideas for your character and see if anyone would like to role-play along. Also, you can post diary entries for your character, and keep in touch with relationship trackers.
OOC [Out of Character] (4 sub-boards) Here you can post anything Out of Character just pertaining to your personal self. Come along here to play some games and contests we have provided. Chip in and create games yourself. Also, if anything comes up where you can't get to a computer, you'll be absent for awhile, or you need to leave post in the absentee board. Take a look at what we got.
Spread the Word (2 sub-boards) Like the title implies, swing around here to post ads for your forum & affiliate with us here at Drifting Heavens. We encourage ads, believe us when we say we "encourage ads, news needs to get around right? and for Affiliating, we love to have friends around proboards. Main Buildings Passing the elegant, black rod gate you take a chance to look up at the beautiful, red bricked academy. A large fountain of a young man and his horse stand at the middle of the wide, circular walkway to the school's entrance. The main building holds the office, it's the first building that catches your eye. Bask in the glory of Catalpa Academy.

Classrooms Catalpa offers a wide variety of classes, aside from learning to ride and "whisper" to your horse companion. The classes are small and only hold around 14 students each, but the classrooms themselves are spacious for extra learning space. After school clubs can also be found in a few choice classes, or just meetings under some trees out front.

Cafeteria A classy, modern cafeteria that offers a good group of foods. Since many students live on campus, breakfast and dinner are also served, unless some wish to venture out into town for some grub. Socializing is a big part of the cafeteria atmosphere and its an easy place to spot the friend-circles, or cliques, in the school.

Student Lounge Pretty much a large hangout room filled with soda machines, a snack bar, mounted flat screen televisions, beanbag chairs, couches, game systems, and large windows looking out onto the training field and out onto flatland Grantbury. The perfect spot to relax converse, and play your life away.
Training Course A giant, magnificent field split into four different categories: Free riding, barrel racing, track, and hurdling. Bring your horse here to just bond and train. This is the perfect place to break in your horse and strengthen the trust level between animal and man.

West Wing [15-18 years] The dorms are separated by gender, second floor boys and third floor girls just to keep temptation for trouble under the minimum. The first floor is a lobby sort of room where supervision is standing by and if you feel a small case of insomnia, it's good to hangout here to watch some television and talk with a friend.

East Wing [19-22 years] The dorms for the college student body. Unlike the high school portion of the school dorms, the college dorms can be mixed. The students should be responsible enough to make decisions for themselves. The East wing is a bit bigger then the West wing but still has the same resources.

Whisper The first stable once you step foot onto the large estate in the back of the Academy, it is large and painted an elegant white. Inside holds all the horses that await to be chosen by new students to the school. All the horse here have never had previous Academy owners and most are rescued from bad situations. Come here to see which horse speaks to you and then move it to one of the other beautiful stables.
Nightingale (1 sub-board) A beautiful stable painted a smooth coat of ebony, the doors a light brown. This stable is one of the "storage" stables to keep your horse after it has been moved from the Whisper stable. This stable has a large field for grazing that is also connected with Moonlight stable by a thin gate. This stable is more suited for the rowdy of the herds, but it's comfortable here for any horse nevertheless.
Moonlight (1 sub-board) An identical twin in architecture with the Nightingale stable, this stable is coated with a shimmer silver coat. Only about two acres distance from Nightingale stable, this stable is suited more for the docile and calm of the herds. Pick and choose as you may though, both stables and suitable for any horse. The catalpa stables are the cleanest around and staff keeps the stalls neat and tidy everyday, so no need to worry about the well being of your horse. The Nightingale and Moonlight stables shine in the night like ying and yang.
Java Latte Servin' up the best coffee and pastries around, Java Latte is a well known shop where most come to relax either with a good book or a laptop. The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful and it's hard to stay away. This sweet shop even has outdoor tables and comfy chairs to rest on after a long day. LansBerry Mall When the students get a break in practice and homework and they've got a little money, they like to wander to the mall and hang out with friends, get new outfits and things, and just relax. Some students work here but most just visit for a good time with friends. Now Hiring

Darlington Theatre Named after the director of the first movie to show here, Darlington has been the favored hang out and dating site of many of the students at the academy. There's popcorn, drinks, and candy awaiting at the stand behind the ticket booth and a new movie waiting in the theaters. Now Hiring

Pinehills Apartments This large community of beautiful apartments is owned by the town of Grantbury and is open for purchase and rent. These apartments are not the only living areas in Grantbury, there are small community houses that freckle through Grantbury, but Pinehills apartments and affordable for college graduate students and comfortable for any sized family.

Grantbury General Hospital Even in a small town such as Grantbury, many things can happen. Especially when you're dealing with horses or just life in general =3 If you're feeling a little sick and you're a student at Catalpa all bills are paid for. Auction Stables Here is where mostly administration of the school comes to find more horses for the academy. Some students come here when they are unable to make a link with the horses already in the Whisper Stables.

Track & Show If you feel your horse is ready and trusts you enough you may enter into one of the track competitions-including barrel jumping, racing- and Show competitions-including trotting, and pampered. Check here every so often to see when the next competition is. Win money and even the chance to compete nationally.

Maple Tale Inn If you want a weekend away from the academy rent a room and stay here for a time. This inn is cozy and well liked around Grantbury. They supply breakfast, lunch, and dinner and they even have a large stable and field for your horse if you decide to bring them along. This inn resembles that of a cabin, but inside it is state-of-the-art.

Forest Area Want to take a relaxing stroll with your horse? Want to enjoy the calm beauty of the ancient vegetation? Do you just wanna ride off away from the stress of people and life? Then come on over to the forest and just let time fly by. But don't forget reality. Occasional bonfires by the Catalpa Academy college crowd and a few high schoolers.

Beach Area A soft sugar sand beach landscape. This beach is frequented by tourists during the summers and by students riding horse back all year-round. This beautiful beach is home to seagulls and seasonal turtles. Inside the water, you may catch a rare glimpse of dolphins. Every so often down the shoreline you can see the same statue that sits in the front of Catalpa Academy, except stained by age.

Prairie Area The perfect area to just run non-stop till fatigue grabs a hold of you. Flowers and tall grass blankets this flatland, but it overlooks the beautiful Grantbury beach not to far off. On a cool breezy day, this is the best place to come and gallop or just to search for shapes in the clouds. Or maybe you'd like to break in your horse. If you're looking for a place to be "wild and free" this place is it.

Swamp Area The swamp, home to fog, humidity, and some scary critters, usually doesn't receive many visitors other than the pranksters and the danger-seeking. The ground is wet and unstable under any amount of weight and it is dangerous to even think of venturing through here. The horses always refuse to be lead this way and for good reason. The Telephone Line Don't feel like going out tonight and just sitting in your dorm? Call up a friend and see whats up. Maybe you can even set a date or plan a hangout for the next day. Maybe you're out and you want someone to meet you there? call'em up. Everyone should have a cellphone.

Texting As the title implies, this is where you just send simple texts back and forth between character. If you don't feel like dialing a number, just text. This is the only board we allow one-liners and text speech.
